At Subaru of Kennesaw, we want to help everyone drive the right vehicle for the right price. When it comes to choosing a vehicle that fits your family’s needs now and, in the future, we suggest the new Subaru Ascent lineup. The Subaru Ascent is the largest vehicle in the Subaru lineup, offering spacious and comfortable seating for up to eight passengers, many accommodating features, and a strong performance that’s both commanding and confident. Whether you’re bringing your kids to school in nearby Marietta or going on a camping trip off-road, the new Subaru Ascent lineup has everything you need and more to enjoy every experience as a driver or a passenger.
We know that choosing your next vehicle is a big decision, and we want you to be confident in which vehicle is right for you. That’s why we’re going to compare the new Subaru Ascent lineup to some of its competitors, letting you see side by side some of the biggest advantages that choosing a new Ascent model will offer you.
2024 Subaru Ascent vs. 2024 Honda Pilot
The new Subaru Ascent and Honda Pilot models are both three-row SUVs that deliver a strong performance. However, if you’re looking for the best option to tackle the bad weather around Smyrna or for traveling off the beaten path, the Subaru Ascent delivers the performance and capability that you need. All the new Subaru Ascent models have standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, allowing you to enjoy the utmost traction and control in any weather and on any terrain. The Honda Pilot models come with standard front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive available on all models for a higher price.
The Subaru Ascent offers slightly less horsepower than the Honda Pilot models do, but uses a peppy 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 277 pounds-feet of torque, compared to the standard 3.5-liter V6 in the Pilot that delivers 262 pounds-feet of torque.
The Subaru Ascent lineup delivers on more than performance, as all models come with cutting-edge technology and safety features. All the Ascent models have an 11.6-inch touchscreen Starlink infotainment system, featuring standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. The Honda Pilot models have either a standard 7-inch or available 9-inch touchscreen display.
2024 Subaru Ascent vs. 2024 Toyota Highlander
The Subaru Ascent ensures that you can confidently drive to any location on or off the road around Woodstock thanks to the standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system in every vehicle. Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is different from other systems, as it actively sends power to all four wheels and will automatically divert that power to the wheels with the most traction if any should start slipping, giving complete control and command. The Toyota Highlander lineup has standard front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive available on all models, but at an extra cost.
The Toyota Highlander and Subaru Ascent lineups offer an impressive suite of driver assistance features, but only the Subaru Ascent comes with standard LED steering responsive headlights, allowing you to see around corners as you’re turning as the lights go where the steering wheel is pointed.
The Toyota Highlander lineup offers slightly higher fuel economy than the Subaru Ascent lineup does, but with a fuel capacity of 19.3 gallons in the Ascent and 17.3 gallons in the Highlander, you can travel further around Canton on a full tank in the Ascent than in the Highlander.
