The latest model year of the Subaru Outback is set to continue with its legendary reign as off-road-ready, family-friendly adventure vehicle. The Subaru Outback gets an all-new Wilderness trim for the 2022 year along with a smattering of very minor changes. Minor changes include LED fog lights are now standard while the Premium trim level gets rear ventilation. Otherwise, the Wilderness trim is the only change that comes to the 2022 model year. The Wilderness trim fits its name, as it's a pure off-road vehicle. The Wilderness trim boasts increased ground clearance, the top-notch 2.4-liter turbocharged flat-4 engine (260 horsepower/ 277 pound-feet of torque), all-wheel drive, and hill descent control.

Moving away from the Subaru Outback Wilderness trim ensures that there's still plenty of versatility to be had with the rest of the Outback lineup. The lower trims of the Outback are propelled by a 2.5-liter flat-4 engine and also include standard all-wheel drive. Interior features include a touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a variety of convenience features.

The new Subaru Outback provides drivers with two engine options, with the base offering being a 2.5-liter flat-4 variant that makes 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. If you're after more power behind the Outback wheel, then there's an available 2.4-liter turbocharged flat-4 option that makes 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Both engines work with a continuously variable transmission and standard symmetrical all-wheel drive.

The base trim of the Outback offers Terrell area drivers a careful mix of power, tech, and comfort to ensures a truly modern SUV experience. Powering the base Subaru Outback trim is a 2.5-liter flfat-4 engine that makes 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. Drivers can look forward to a continuously variable transmission and symmetrical all-wheel drive, too. Moving to the interior, the Subaru Outback Base trim includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a basic audio system, and Bluetooth connectivity. Comfort features include cloth-trimmed seats, automatic climate control, and a 7-inch climate control display. The base trim also includes a whole package of driver assistance features to help boost driving confidence one Rowlett roads. Upper trim levels of the new Subaru Outback offer up ample upgrades that range from an 11.6-inch infotainment display to heated front seats and a 12-speaker Harman/Kardon premium audio system. The top of the line touring trim includes a power sunroof, nappa leather-trimmed seats, a heated steering wheel, heated/ventilated front seats, and a navigation system.
